Cutting Concepts
Lawn & yard care — Logan, Utah
Cutting Concepts mows, trims and cleans up yards across Cache Valley and into southern Idaho. It needed a first website: what it does, where it works, and an easy way for a customer to ask for an estimate.
What we built
- A home page with the business's own logo: a hero, an about section, the service area, and an estimate request, plus a page for each group of services so people searching for one find it.
- All ten services in four groups: lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging), shrub and landscape care (bush trimming), lawn restoration (aeration, power raking), and property and seasonal cleanup (gutter cleaning, green waste hauling, yard cleanups, leaf cleanups).
- An estimate request that arrives as a text. The site is static, so it can't send email or keep anything. The form checks the request, writes it up as a text message and opens the visitor's own messaging app, ready to send to the owner's phone. On a computer, Copy as text shows the same message. The page never claims a request was sent; it tells the visitor to press send.
- A privacy page that says plainly the site collects and stores nothing, and how the text-message request works.
- Honest photos. The Cache Valley scenery — the Wellsville Mountains, Logan Peak, North Logan — is real, from Wikimedia Commons, with a credits page. The service photos are stock and labelled as such until the owner supplies his own.
How it's built
Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript on its own asset canister on the Internet Computer, built and deployed with RoamRock's site-kit, the template and tool we use for small static sites. There is no server to run and no database. Its images are generated from the source photos and logo rather than edited by hand. A backend that stores requests could be added later as a second canister.
Outcome
In preview. The site is live on its Internet Computer preview address while the owner confirms the last details and the domain.
